Terms of Use
Effective February 1, 2026. Last updated September 8, 2026.
The Rob Report (robreportnews.com) is published by Tea Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation. By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
What this site is
The Rob Report is a news publication. It does two things: it aggregates headlines from other publishers and links to their work, and it publishes original journalism.
Aggregated headlines
The wire displays headlines, short excerpts, and publication details from third-party news sources, each linking to the original article on the publisher's own site.
We do not reproduce full articles. We do not host other publishers' content. We do not present another outlet's reporting as our own. Every aggregated item carries the name of the outlet that produced it, and clicking it takes you to them.
Copyright in aggregated headlines and excerpts remains with the original publisher. We display them under fair use as a news index that drives traffic to the source.
If you are a publisher and you want your outlet removed from the wire, email robreportnews@pm.me and we will remove it. No argument, no process. Say the word.
Our own content
Original reporting, columns, Compass pieces, and everything else written by our contributors or us is copyrighted by Tea Technologies, Inc.
You may quote from it with attribution and a link, as any journalist would. You may not republish a piece in full without permission. For syndication or reprint, email us.
Contributors retain the right to their own work and license it to us for publication. Contributor terms are agreed individually.
Third-party links and content
We provide links to other sites because those sites published something. A link is not an endorsement of the publisher, its accuracy, its politics, its products, or its privacy practices. Once you follow a link, you are on someone else's site under their terms, and we are not responsible for what happens there.
No warranty
The site is provided as is. We work hard to be accurate, and we correct errors when we find them, but we make no warranty that everything here is complete, current, or error-free. Aggregated headlines come from third parties, and we do not independently verify every one before it appears on the wire.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Tea Technologies, Inc. is not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything published here.
This is not professional advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice, safety consulting, compliance advice, insurance advice, or financial advice, and reading it does not create any professional relationship with Rob Carpenter, Tea Technologies, or anyone else.
Reporting about FMCSA regulations, CSA scoring, safety ratings, insurance requirements or litigation is journalism. It describes what happened and what the rules say. It is not a substitute for a lawyer, a safety professional, or your own reading of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. If a regulatory matter affects your operation, get counsel.
Rob Carpenter serves as a retained expert witness in commercial motor vehicle litigation. Nothing published on this site constitutes expert testimony or an expert opinion in any matter, and this site does not create an expert-consultant relationship with anyone.
Data from THE TEA platform
Some reporting draws on data from the TEA Highway Intelligence Platform, which our publisher operates. That data comes from public federal sources, including FMCSA registration and inspection records.
When we use it, we say so. Platform data is a reporting tool, not a finding of fact about any carrier. A connection between two carriers in federal registration data means those records share a value. It does not mean any person or company did anything wrong, and we do not write it as though it does.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape the site or hit it with automated traffic that degrades it for other readers. Do not attempt to break into any part of it. Do not use it to send spam, harass anyone, or misrepresent yourself as us.
We publish an RSS feed. Use that.
Corrections and complaints
If we published something inaccurate about you or your company, tell us and show us. robreportnews@pm.me. We will look at what you send and, if we got it wrong, we will correct it and say so.
We will not remove accurate reporting because it is unflattering.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Virginia.
Changes
We may update these terms. The updated date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revision.
